Update on the latest Government announcement regarding the UKCA mark as the Government omits construction products from the latest extension.

Unfortunately, the Government has once again not listened to the fire industry as they have not included Construction Products in this announcement. We are working tirelessly to communicate our industry's concerns to the Government and will update you as and when we hear anything back.

There will be different rules for medical devices, construction products, cableways, transportable pressure equipment, unmanned aircraft systems, rail products and marine equipment. Government departments responsible for these sectors are making sector-specific arrangements - which we are in contact with.

The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the actions in economic operators wishing to supply construction products to the GB market, as well as UK-based conformity assessment bodies, will need to take.

The guidance provides practical information about putting construction products on the GB market from 1 January 2021 in order to help businesses prepare for EU exit. This guidance replaces the previous one and provides information about further changes to requirements starting in 2023. You can find guidance on placing goods on the NI market in the following document.
