BS 5306-8: Extinguishers for Electrical Fires - 2023 Revision
The 2023 revision of BS 5306-8 (FIA Technical Fact File 96) introduced important changes to the guidance covering the selection and provision of portable fire extinguishers for fires involving electrical equipment.
This short online learning resource provides an overview of the changes from the withdrawn 2012 edition and explains some of the key considerations when selecting and providing extinguishers where live electrical equipment may be involved.

This short learning module explores the key requirements for fire alarm zone plans, including their layout, orientation and location, as well as some of the common issues that can affect their effectiveness.
