The release of BS 9792 Fire Risk Assessment for Housing Code of Practice, the latest British Standard guiding fire risk assessments in housing premises and parts of housing premises, is now open for public comment until 25th March 2024.

BS 9792, which replaces PAS 79-2  is the newly introduced British Standard providing recommendations for fire risk assessments (FRAs) for housing premises and parts of housing premises, is currently open for public comment. This presents a valuable opportunity for you to actively participate in shaping the industry's standards.

BS 9792 focuses on guiding fire risk assessments in various housing premises, including houses in multiple occupation (HMOs), flats, maisonettes, and specialised housing.

To contribute, you are encouraged to use the BSI standard development portal. It's important to note that registration and login are necessary to submit comments. View the supporting documents. The comment period for BS 9792 extends until 25th March 2024.
