The FIA has launched Fire Future Today 2025 — a powerful collection of essays from leading voices across the UK fire sector. From AI and robotics to regulation, accountability, and the future of competence, this year’s contributors share bold ideas on shaping a safer tomorrow.

The Fire Industry Association (FIA) has released the 2025 edition of Fire Future Today, its annual anthology of thought-provoking essays from leading voices across the UK fire sector.

This year’s collection showcases ten contributors — campaigners, experts, and leaders — who explore the issues reshaping fire safety as the sector adapts to rapid change. From artificial intelligence and robotics to regulation, accountability, workforce development, and community safety, the essays reflect both the challenges and the opportunities facing the industry today.
