The Fire Industry Association (FIA) and Consort Insurance hosted a seminar this week titled “Navigating Reform and Risk in the Fire Sector”

A packed room listened and asked questions of some of the leading voices from fire safety, the built environment, and insurance to provide practical insight into current regulatory and market reforms. Ian Moore OBE (CEO of the FIA) chaired the meeting, opening with an explanation of why the fire safety industry needs competency at every level, and how it selects its partners to communicate that message, such as Consort Insurance.

Speakers were Peter Caplehorn (CEO of the CPA) on “Understanding the Construction Product Reform Green Paper”, Daniel Harwood (Managing Director Consort Insurance) and Daniel White (Sales Director Consort Insurance) on “Reform Through the Lens of Insurance: Liability & Capacity”, Lauren Williams (Development Exec of SRG Trade Credit Insurance) on “Protecting Your Business with Trade Credit Insurance” and Amanda Long (CEO of the CCPI) on “Raising the Bar on Product Marketing Standards”.

The panel discussions at the end clearly showed the interest in the presentation subjects with many questions being asked.
