FIA shares deepest condolences with Fred's family and friends.

27 July 2020

Dear All,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Fred Bryan on Friday 17th July 2020. He left us peacefully surrounded by his family in his sleep after losing his long and courageous battle to Motor Neurone Disease. He leaves behind a loving family that will miss him deeply, but are left with wonderful memories of what a caring, smart, and fun man he was. His impact and involvement in this industry drove positive change throughout the UK and further afield and means we will always be living in a safer community. His family, both immediate and commercial are extremely proud of his career and of his legacy.

It was an honour to know and work alongside him and myself and the FX team carry his legacy forward with pride.

Fred’s funeral will be held on the 6th of August. Unfortunately, due to social distancing restrictions, it will only be possible for a small number of family to attend. As a family, we understand that this will be frustrating for the many friends and work colleagues that would have wanted to attend the funeral to pay their final respects. In recognition of this, we’d like to invite everyone to share thoughts or stories about Fred which we’ll try and incorporate into the ceremony. Please email me (Matt - Fred’s son) at [email protected].

We will not be having flowers at the ceremony, but if you would like to make a contribution please donate to the Motor Neurone Disease Association https://www.mndassociation.org/get-involved/donations/

Best Regards,

Nicholas Brett
