London, Tuesday 9^th September – We are delighted to inform you that our new General Manager, Andrew Ledgerton-Lynch, will be joining us on the 17th September.

Andrew has over twenty-five years’ experience as an award-winning editor and leader in the fire sector. He has been editor of FIRE magazine since 2000 and editor of International Fire Professional (the journal of the Institution of Fire Engineers) since 2012 and founder and host of the Excellence in Fire & Emergency Awards since 2014.

As Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Fire Fighters Charity from 2016-2020 Andrew was the first non-Fire Service Trustee to lead the charity and is currently a Trustee of the Fire Service Research and Training Trust, the Fire Sector Confederation and sits on the confederation's advisory council.

In June 2023 Andrew was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to the Fire Fighters Charity and fire safety.

In recent years Andrew has worked closely with the FIA in a number of areas and is a valued contributor towards the FIA’s position of raising the bar on professionalism.
