London, 05/10/2026 - The Fire Industry Association is pleased to welcome Ken Bullock as an FIA Technical Officer, bringing more than four decades of experience across the fire safety industry.

Ken has built extensive experience through a wide range of senior technical, product, commercial and leadership roles. During his career, he has played an important part in bringing innovative wireless fire detection products to market, helping to shape the associated standards and representing the UK as a Principal Expert within a European working group.

In his previous role with BAFE, Ken worked closely with certification bodies, trade associations, UKAS and standards committees to support and develop the BAFE schemes and Qualifications, with the aim of improving competency across the industry.

This breadth of experience will be a real asset to the FIA. Ken understands the practical challenges facing manufacturers, system integrators, certification bodies, training centres and end users, while also bringing the technical credibility and collaborative approach needed to bring different parts of the industry together.

His knowledge of standards, product innovation, assurance and market engagement will help the FIA continue to provide strong technical leadership and deliver practical value for its members and the wider fire safety community.
