21 November 2025

The FIA were proud to exhibit at London Build Expo 2025 in Kensington, Olympia across the 19th-20th November. As the largest event in the construction and built-environment sector in the UK it was great to be able to participate in it. Following on from recent years, this year’s event saw record footfall with over 38,000 people attending the event across the two days. It was great to be involved in so many thought-provoking conversations and to see a clear industry wide focus on safety, competency and compliance.

Strong Engagement Across the Industry

Over the two days, the FIA welcomed a steady stream of contractors, consultants, manufacturers and fire safety professionals. Visitors were eager to find out more about the latest developments in fire safety legislation, the evolving training needs of the sector and third-party certification plus much more.

The FIA team was on hand throughout to offer guidance on:

  • Upcoming regulatory changes and implications for dutyholders
  • The importance of competency frameworks across fire-related roles
  • Training pathways for those entering or progressing in the industry
  • Membership benefits, technical support, and professional development opportunities

The growing level of engagement reflected the increased emphasis on ensuring fire safety standards are understood and prioritised from project conception through to post-occupancy.
