The Construction Products Association (CPA) has confirmed that Adam Turk, Chief Executive Officer of passive fire protection specialist Siderise, will continue as Chair for a third consecutive term.
The CPA is the principal body representing UK construction product manufacturers and suppliers, providing a strong and unified voice for the sector. It plays a critical role in engaging with Government and policymakers to support the development of robust, evidence-based regulation and guidance relating to construction products. Through its economic analysis, technical expertise and sustainability leadership, the Association supports its members while driving continuous improvement across the industry.
With decades of experience in the construction sector, Adam Turk brings significant knowledge and leadership to the role. A longstanding supporter of the CPA for almost 20 years, he has been instrumental in guiding the industry through a period of significant change. This includes responding to evolving regulatory requirements, strengthening accountability, and supporting the transition towards a more transparent and integrity-led culture.
The decision to extend his tenure beyond the standard two-year term reflects the CPA’s recognition of his continued contribution and the importance of strong, consistent leadership as the sector addresses ongoing challenges and opportunities.
Highly respected
Commenting on the news, Adam Turk stated: “In its role as the umbrella organisation for the construction products sector, the CPA is highly respected for its contribution. It’s an honour for me to have been asked to stay on as chair for another year as the industry faces the triple challenge of a difficult UK market and uncertainty caused by global factors, while also being asked to undertake a significant reform agenda under the Construction Products Regulation and General Safety Requirements proposals.”
Turk concluded: “I will be doing all that I can to ensure a smooth transition through the various obstacles ahead of us.”
Peter Caplehorn, CEO of the CPA, responded: “We are extremely grateful for Adam’s continuing support of our Association and the work we undertake to underpin and embolden this sector. His vast industry experience and considerable energy and enthusiasm are priceless given the fact that the challenges facing us seem to grow in terms of both complexity and severity.”
