In December 1969 BFPSA took out a half page advertisement in Fire Protection Review magazine, which gave a list of the names of our member companies. This is long enough for BFPSA to have started to be recognised as a reputable body (BFPSA had been running for 3 years by this point) , and long before there is anything approaching a national certification scheme by which customers can rate their suppliers.  These days we have accreditation schemes such as those run by BAFE.
