Export Council
The FIA Export Council was formed in 2001 as a joint initiative between the Fire Industry Council (now incorporated into the FIA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It brings together UK organisations that have an interest in promoting UK fire protection products and services overseas. Controlled by a Council of its membership it is responsible for the industry's export activity including inward and outward missions, overseas exhibitions, conferences and seminars and liaison with central Government.
