As you may be aware guidance has been published for the housebuilding industry ahead of new regulations on Automatic Fire Suppression Systems (AFSS).
The legislation was laid before the Scottish Parliament 9 September 2020 with a coming into force date of 1 March 2021 . The changes in regulations require AFSS to be installed in new new-build and converted flats and maisonettes, social housing dwellings and shared multi-occupancy residential buildings where a building warrant is applied for on or after 1 March 2021. A series of three webinars have been arranged to provide information in relation to these new requirements. Building Standards officials will be represented at these events along with the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA) and the International Water Mist Association (IWMA) who will provide some further insight and detail from an industry perspective.
Dates for these events and details of how to register can be found within the links provided below.
16th February 2021 10.30am-12pm
Please share with your colleagues who may have an interest in these webinars.
