The Fire Industry Association (FIA) is pleased to announce a new initiative aimed at promoting greater knowledge sharing between non-council members and its seven industry councils.

11 April 2023

The first stage of this process is to give members the option to email [email protected] to ask questions, receive answers and provide feedback to the councils.

At the FIA, we recognise the importance of fostering a strong and collaborative community in the fire industry. We are acknowledging that the 1,000 plus non-council members possess valuable insights and perspectives that can help shape the direction of our industry councils. By establishing a direct line of communication to our councils, we aspire to create a more inclusive and open community where everyone can share their knowledge.

"We believe that every member has something to add and all opinions matter – that’s what makes us a strong trade association that will be listened to by all the stakeholders we engage with. We want to make them feel valued and connected with our councils," said Ian Moore, CEO of FIA. "We hope that this new initiative will serve as a platform to facilitate greater knowledge sharing within our membership community."

To access this new service, FIA members can simply email [email protected] with their questions or feedback. Our industry councils will examine and respond to all queries, ensuring that everyone's voice is heard.

This is just one of the many ways in which FIA is striving to build a more cohesive and collaborative fire industry community and this starts within our membership.
