It will be Day 2 by the time you receive this in your inbox (if you’re a Focus subscriber), but that means the event is only halfway through. If you are thinking of visiting, now is the time to get your skates on (not literally, although it might be amusing to watch you rollerblade around the expo).
We’re back in a big way at FIREX – this year our stand is more interactive than ever; we’re bringing down most of the FIA team to answer your questions on practically everything fire.
We’ve got our technical managers on hand to answer all of your technical questions and discuss whatever issue you might be contemplating. All our technical managers – Will Lloyd, Rob Thilthorpe, and Robert Yates – have a wide range of experience and expertise and have previously spoken at seminars at FIREX and in the wider fire community. Additionally, the FIA technical managers have a hand in the creation of the technical content of the FIA training courses and qualifications – so you can be certain that they have a very firm grasp of their subject areas.
If you’re wondering about training then maybe you’ll want to have a chat with our General Manager Martin Duggan (who will also be giving a seminar about what we offer – details below), although there will plenty of other members of the FIA team to field your questions (get here early, we’re expecting it to be busy!).

Lastly, if you’re thinking of joining us and becoming a member then there a number of member benefits – discounts on training, reduced rates on British Standards, and access to our members-only events. Just check out this infographic:

So if you’re interested in membership, our Membership Manager Chris Tilley will be more than happy to discuss your needs and requirements. He’ll be joined by Compliance Manager Kevin Stearns who will be able to help you understand third party certification and our Route to Certification Package.
