New Fire Minister appointed – Sarah Dines MP

Following the resignation of Lord Greenhalgh as Fire Minister, the Government moved quickly to replace him with Sarah Dines MP. In a meeting yesterday at the Home Office, Ian Moore, CEO of the FIA met with Lord Greenhalgh and Sarah Dines MP to discuss the work the fire industry is doing to support the Ukrainian humanitarian relief project. Pictured with him is Alistair Brown (MD of Angloco – as a sponsor of the visit by the Ukrainian Fire and Rescue Service) and Sarah Adamson in her capacity as the FIA’s and fire industry’s single point of contact for the project.

Following that Ian Moore thanked Lord Greenhalgh for his fantastic contribution to the fire industry to date and then had a brief discussion with Sarah Dines MP about the fire industry with an agreement to a follow up meeting to discuss in more detail the current situation and how she can help support the industry going forward.
