Our Conference, titled 'In a World Post the Grenfell Tower Tragedy - What has Changed?' focuses on a poignant subject that impacts everyone within our industry. Our conference will highlight the developments we have made in the wake of the Grenfell Tower Tragedy and focus on how we can continue to put our best foot forward as an industry.
We at the FIA are delighted to have FIREX as our headline sponsor at the FIA Conference. We are incredibly excited to be working together and to deliver two fantastic events to the fire industry.
We are extremely excited to have South Wales Chief Fire Officer Huw Jakeway as our keynote speaker, delivering a presentation from the perspective of the Fire and Rescue Service. Our conference will also contain presentations from industry experts such as Iain Bowker on the impact of the Fire Safety Act and the Building Safety Act on Fire Risk Assessment and the Fire and Rescue service. In addition to this FIA CEO Ian Moore will be presenting on the Building Safety Information Portal as well as a presentation from FIA Technical Manager Will Lloyd on Documentation and Special Inspection.
As well as all of this, our conference will contain a host of CPD seminars from FIA members, Advanced Electronics, C-TEC, Tio Fire Safety and Aico. These seminars will cover a range of topics including emergency lighting, BS 5839 Part 6 Grade C, digital logbooks and remote access to data.
Take this fantastic opportunity to further your knowledge on how the fire industry has implemented crucial changes in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy while also looking to the future, learning how innovation across the industry will play a crucial role in enabling us to consistently improve how we operate in the fire sector.
At the FIA we understand the importance of growing and maintaining a strong network. Take advantage of this brilliant opportunity for networking with key industry stakeholders from across the fire industry such as installers, designers, maintainers, commissioners, local government, standard bodies, fire rescue service professionals, colleges, and universities.
