We will hold an Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) on the originally planned date, May 27th, that will be held online from 16:30 to 17:30 CET.

25 March 2020

In this unprecedented time of a Global COVID-19 Pandemic, we informed you a few weeks ago about the Board’s decision to postpone our annual event that was planned on May 27th. The General Assembly, Industry Forum and 50th-Anniversary celebrations, and subsequent Section meetings, are now rescheduled to October 29th and 30th, in the same location as previously communicated at the Renaissance hotel in Brussels.

However, in order to comply with some statutory duties, we will hold an Extraordinary General Assembly (EGA) on the originally planned date, May 27th, that will be held online from 16:30 to 17:30 CET. We will send shortly a Webex invitation for the online meeting for which you will be requested to register.

During this meeting, we will run essential administrative tasks for the organisation and to allow us to stay operational until the GA in October. The main topics for the EGA approval are: 1. the budget for 2020/21 financial year; and  2. a motion to postpone the GA until October 29th, 2020 which is outside the timeframe of six months defined in the statutes.

You will find the agenda of the Euralarm Extraordinary General Assembly on May 27th attached to this letter. All documents relevant to the meeting will be accessible in due course in the Euralarm Members Area: https://www.euralarm.org/members-area/general-assemblees/2020-ga-brussels

The agenda and information package for the regular GA in October will be distributed after summer.

If you are not able to attend the online Extraordinary General Assembly on May 27th, you may appoint a proxy or choose to vote in writing in accordance with the statues, Art. 4.3 on Voting Rights and Passing of Resolutions. In either case, please send your information, either voting in writing or proxy, to the General Secretary ([email protected]) as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend and have questions you would have asked during the meeting, you may send them by email prior to the meeting to the General Secretary and they will be read out, attributed and answered with a record in the minutes.
