Home Office is asking for support from private sector professionals

Industry professionals are being called upon to use their knowledge to help counter terrorism abroad.

The Overseas Protect and Prepare programme (OPP) is a joint Home Office/Foreign and Commonwealth Office programme which works with partners to strengthen security in locations overseas where UK interests (especially tourists) are at risk from terrorism.  OPP works collaboratively with other governments to improve their capabilities to protect British Nationals.

OPP currently draws on expertise within serving UK civil service, police and emergency services, but OPP recognises that the private sector can complement this by bringing additional capacity, expertise and flexibility.

This call to industry seeks to explore what industry can do to help deliver OPP’s goals. Further details are available here: Expression of Interest Information
