F-Gas Certification for Technicians
Overview
European legislation requires that businesses working with fluorinating gases (F-Gases) be certified and have sufficient trained technicians to carry out the work. The F-Gas Fire Protection Systems Qualification will provide delegates with the necessary understanding of the legislation and its application for the safe handling of F-Gases. This course will also fulfil the requirement for technician training under the company certification scheme.
The Course
Part one of the course contains details on the European Regulations for safe handling of fluorinating gases, equipment, testing and recovery of gases. The combination of both legal and technical information ensures that this course provides delegates with a comprehensive understanding of the use and safe handling of F-Gases.
To complete the personal certification, delegates should also attend manufacturer training to gain practical experience of systems and their component parts. This should, preferably, be obtained before attending the theory course, but can be obtained afterwards. This practical training, which is required under the F-Gas Regulation, is also required for those who service the FD&A aspects only. For delegates wishing to attend manufacturers training, please click here for a list of dates and venues available. The practical part is a free course which lasts approximately 2½ hours. If you would like to reserve a place on one of these courses please email Melena Blake, Training Co-ordinator, or contact the company directly.
Who should attend?
Anyone that is involved with the handling of F-Gases through installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire systems should attend this course.
