Unit 9 - Fire Risk Assessment - Responsibilities & Procedures

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, known as the Fire Safety Order (FSO), requires owners/managers/employers of non domestic premises to be responsible for the fire safety. These people are deemed the Responsible Person (RP) and the law requires them to carryout and record an annual fire risk assessment where five or more persons are employed.

Risk assessments can be aided by a qualified risk assessor but must involve the Responsible Person on site. This training course explains the risk assessment principles describing in detail the five basic steps involved and how to compensate for the risks using fire detection and alarm equipment. Fire Alarm Engineers (CPs) attending this course would be able to explain to their customers how to undertake risk assessments, and to explain the requirements placed on the RP at the premises.

Course prices £150 per delegate (FIA Members); £225 per delegate (Non Members). Prices are subject to VAT at the current rate.
