Introduction to BS 7273 Parts 4 & 6
This training course provides fundamental knowledge of the recommendations of the BS 7273 codes of practice for the operation of fire protection measures: part 4 “Actuation of release mechanisms for doors”; and part 6 “Interface with ancillary systems and equipment”.
This 2-3 hour training course is for any person, organization or business involved in the interfacing of fire detection and fire alarm systems to doors and other ancillary systems and equipment.

This training course provides fundamental knowledge of the recommendations of the BS 7273 codes of practice for the operation of fire protection measures: part 4 “Actuation of release mechanisms for doors”; and part 6 “Interface with ancillary systems and equipment”.
At the end of the course, delegates will take an examination to test their knowledge. During the exam, delegates are allowed to access their notes and a copy of BS BS 7273-4:2015+A1:2021 ans BS 7273-6:2019 if they have them available. Please note that access to a copy of these standards is not essential; the course and accompanying notes will provide all the necessary information for the exam.
If you are unsuccessful during the exam at the end of the course, you will be eligible for a free exam resit.

No prior experience or qualifications are required to take this course however, knowledge of BS 5839-1 would be an advantage.
Taking this course will provide an understanding of the recommendations for interfacing the fire detection and fire alarm system to release mechanisms for doors and other ancillary systems and equipment.
