At this early meeting of the Security and Fire Alarms Systems Association, we decided on a policy that if possible, each year the chairman would be a representative of a fire company and the vice-chairman from a security company, or the other way around.

The vice-chairman would generally be expected to take over from a retiring chairman, so the two sides of the business should be fairly represented over the years.

We intended to send circulars to members, covering matters of interest from council meetings, and have a newsletter.

Members were to be asked to tell Council about matters they thought should be discussed.
