Former FIA CEO – Graham Ellicott, died Friday 26th July 2019
05 August 2019
Graham joined the FIA in April 2007, just as the FIA came into existence following the merger of BFPSA & FETA. Graham’s previous experience as CEO of ASFP helped shape the FIA during his eight years with us before he retired in April 2015.
During this time Graham also served as a Director for both BAFE and the FPA and acted as treasurer of the Fire Sector Federation.
Graham was an influential, well liked individual with an intelligence that most people commented on, having met him. He held senior roles within the fire protection industry and has been missed since his retirement.
Graham liked to play the part of a grumpy old man within the team but we all knew that he had a great sense of humour and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He continued to pop in and see us following his retirement and we will always remember him with great fondness. “A true gentleman”.
All at the FIA pass on our love and condolences to his family and in particular to his wife Liz and children David and Katherine.
Graham’s funeral will be this Thursday 8th August at 12.00 at East Hampstead Crematorium, Bracknell (RG40 3DW) and afterwards at East Hampstead Park
(RG40 3DF) - about 5 mins away.
The family would love to see as many people there as possible.
In retirement Graham had more time to enjoy his love of cycling and started to raise a lot of money for various charities. His family have set up a just giving page, in Graham’s name, to continue this great work.
