The Chief Secretary to the Treasury and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government have launched an independent Service Transformation Challenge Panel to advise what needs to happen both nationally and locally to increase the pace and scale of public service transformation. The FIA is interested in any members' comments on the subject.

The Panel is made up of independent representatives drawn from across the public, private and voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors and is designed to collect and promote examples of good practice across a wide range of areas. These include co-production and service design, leadership, organisational culture and workforce, new delivery models, financial accountability and flexibility, and information sharing.

In order to gather evidence, the Panel has published a call for evidence which is open until 10th July 2014.  The Panel is keen to hear from a wide range of partners including Fire and Rescue Authorities.

Representing suppliers to the Fire and Rescue Sector, the FIA and its FIRESA Council is keen to contribute to the debate so if you have any comments that can feature in our evidence to the Panel, please indicate this in writing to FIRESA Secretary, Dave Smith.
