Since its launch 12 months ago, the Morley-IAS next-generation DX ConneXion panel has proved to be a big hit in the industry with sales of more than 2,000 units in the first year.

The new panel is contributing to growth in new and established Morley-IAS markets, including the UK & Ireland, Benelux, Spain and India and has already established a successful foothold for the first time in the important Brazilian market. Morley-IAS also exhibited the DX ConneXion panel at the recent Security 2012 Show in Essen and is currently adapting the product to meet the requirements of the German market.

“This international success reflects the flexibility of the DX ConneXion panel in adapting to meet local needs,” confirms product manager Richard Paine. “It is also extremely easy to maintain and to install, using the intuitive five-button set-up. This has made it especially attractive to both installers and end-users alike. In the UK, as a multi-protocol panel it also offers the important benefit of greater choice to the end-user.”

The panel is targeted at fire installers and specialist fire distributors and enables an easy transition for less-experienced installers to move from a conventional to a more advanced addressable fire safety system. As part of Morley-IAS’s programme of continuous development, an optional power supply will provide a 72 hour stand-by capability and an LED-based ‘mimic’ - an alternative to the standard LED array - making it easier to rapidly identify which zone is in fault.

“Much of the immediate success of the DX ConneXion range is the result of the company’s willingness to listen and respond to customers’ changing needs,” says Paine. In response, the new panel builds on the success of the current and previous products in Morley-IAS’s impressive history in the fire industry, offering an uncomplicated yet professional look that will blend into any environment and give the right impression.

“The DX ConneXion is a highly stable panel thanks to the quality of our R&D and manufacturing teams who have engineered a great solution for our customers,” adds Paine.

“This demonstrates the continued investment and commitment that Morley IAS dedicates to our people and operating systems - even during tough financial times.

“This continued development is leading to fewer complications on-site and can be translated into real savings for our customers who have to deliver first time.

“Overall, the new panels provide a powerful combination of ease of use, cost-effectiveness, quality and reliability which is synonymous with the Morley-IAS name. The DX ConneXion range has been well-received by both our channel partners and end-customers and provides the ideal platform for the future as we grow the business in both existing and new markets.”
