On 8th May 1934, we received a report by Birmingham Fire Brigade on defects in soda-acid fire extinguishers.
At our June meeting Council decided that this report - suggesting failings in maintenance - indicated the need for maintenance instructions, and that we should write some.
This was rather resented by two member companies which stated at the July meeting that actually, they did their own rather well!
