The main news at this year’s AGM & Lunch was that the FIA’s growth is strengthening year on year, with 106 new members joining the organisation over the past 12 months, bringing the total membership up to 655.

The sell-out event in London was attended by 380 members and guests and provided the opportunity to network and catch up, in addition to learning more about how the Association has been representing its members in the industry over the past year.

Principle achievements 

The Association has trained 3700 delegates in the last 12 months and delivered 51 more courses than in the previous year

Its technical involvement covered input to more than 50 British Standard, European and International Standards

Export Members continue on their global trek, spreading the word and promoting the UK’s fire capabilities

Speaking about the event Graham Ellicott, FIA CEO commented: “The Fire Industry Association continues to go from strength to strength. Looking forward, we shall continue to focus on raising the standard of competence and quality throughout the sector, paying particular attention to the needs of the end user.”
