29.09.1977 was our first Members’ Day conference.

Held in Brighton, there were papers on ‘the need for British Standards’, ‘Observations on current review of BSCP 1019:1972’, ‘Life Safety Requirements with regard to Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems’.

Fifty complimentary tickets would be sent to FETA members and to companies who had expressed an interest in joining.

It was reported in June of the following year that one of the conference papers had recently been published in ‘Fire’ magazine.
