Police on hunt for two men spotted on roof of Glasgow pub hit by fire
Police in Scotland want to speak to two men who were spotted on the roof of a pub in Glasgow shortly before a fire broke out in the premises.
Fire crews were called to the NIA Roo pub in Nitshill Road at around 12.45am yesterday (30th January).
Detective constable Alexander Ward, from Pollok CID, told STV: "Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this wilful fire raising. We are currently checking CCTV and carrying out extensive inquiries to trace the people responsible.
"I am keen to trace the two men who were seen by the public on the roof of the NIA Roo shortly before the fire was started."
The two suspects are described as in their late teens or early 20s, with one wearing dark clothing and the other sporting white tracksuit bottoms and a dark top.
A 'suitable and sufficient' fire risk assessment must be conducted on all commercial properties in Scotland under the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.
If this fire risk assessment is judged to have not been carried out to a suitable extent, the Duty Holder for the establishment can face up to two years in prison or an unlimited fine.
