Export Council
In April last year the Fire Industry Confederation (FIC) changed its identity to becoming the Fire Industry Association (FIA) therefore from 1st April 2007 the Fire Industry Export Council Focal Point has been redefined as the FIA Export Council.
The Objectives of the FIA Export Council
The UK Fire Protection Industry is internationally recognised for its quality products and engineering expertise.
The Fire Industry Association Export Council aims to provide vital support and opportunities for British base organisations to enhance the export performance of the British Fire Protection Industry and the importance of British Standards by:-

Promoting British fire protection excellence;

Encouraging and assisting in export matters, whilst introducing companies to new markets;

Acting as a focal point between industry and government, whilst maximising the effectiveness of Trade UK support and export services.

Providing networking opportunities both nationally and internationally in order to generate new sales leads;

Developing opportunities in respect to overseas exhibitions, and trade missions; and

Providing market information, in the form of market (desk) research reports and commissioned research reports.
The Export Council ensures a conduit for UK based fire industry companies to realise the potential advantages of working together as a co-ordinated industry, sharing information and collectively educating global markets on the benefits of using UK products, services and standards.
