Description

This is an intensive one day course on fixed fire extinguishing systems and all the associated electrical and building interfaces.  The course covers all the latest standards including the BS5306 series, BS ISO 14520 series, BS6266, BS7273 and other draft and prescriptive documents. 

In detail this includes:

  • Extinguishing systems including chemical (e.g. FM-200), inert gas (e.g. IG-55), Carbon Dioxide, Water Mist (low and high pressure)
  • Detection systems and interface to fire alarm and building management systems
  • Pressure relief and extract systems
  • Types of design (local application, total flood)
  • Design guidance
  • Maintenance guidance
  • Coverage of over 26 current and draft British and International Standards and a further quantity of codes of practice and associated literature.

This course is ideally suited to fire alarm companies and installers and will benefit consultants, specifiers, insurers and end users.

The course is presented by an experienced FIA CPD trainer who has authored a book on Fixed Extinguishing and who continues to work extensively in the field.
