Training

  1. Is there an exam at the end of the training course?

Each training unit has a series of tests, given after a section of the training is completed. If you score 75% or more you will receive an FIA certificate.

  2. Do I need to be a member of FIA to attend the training courses?

No all our training units are open and anyone may attend. However if you are interested in becoming a member of FIA please telephone our Sales Manager on 020 3166 5002.

  3. Do I have to attend each course in order?

No, but you must complete and pass Unit 1 - Fire Detection Design before attending the others. After that any further training you wish to attend may be done as and when required.

  4. I have a lot of people I want to send on a course, can you come to my premises?

Yes, we are happy to run dedicated training courses. For more information please telephone our Training Co-ordinator on 020 3166 5002 for more information.

  5. What time do your courses start and end?

As a general rule our courses start at 9am and finish around 5pm, though on occasion they might be a bit later.

We recommend delegates arrive at 8.30am for registration.

  6. Do you have directions to the training venues?

Details of all our training venues around the UK, including details of how to get there can be seen on this page.

  7. Do I have to complete Unit 1 before I can do other courses?

No, you don't have to but we strongly recommend you do as there are references back to aspects of the Unit 1 course throughout others.
