Description

During 2010 significant progress has taken place in the Watermist industry. British Standard DD 8458 for Residential/Domestic Watermist Systems was published in November 2010, closely followed by British Standard DD 8489 for Industrial and Commercial Watermist Systems in February 2011.

And now FIRAS Warrington has launched a Third Party Installer Scheme for Watermist Installers.

With all these watermist developments it is important for anyone who uses or works with watermist systems to fully understand what the developments are and how they affect you. To that extent the Watermist Coordination Group, comprising of BAFSA and the FIA , has organised a one day seminar for installers and maintainers of watermist systems aimed at broadening your knowledge of these milestone developments.

The one day event aimed at those in the fire trade will feature key speakers from the FIA , BAFSA , International Watermist Association and FIRAS and will help you understand the new British Standards, how they are structured, what applications are covered, the importance of third party fire testing, the key in demonstrating supplier product approvals, the new third party installer scheme and if the standards don’t cover an application then how to approach bespoke testing, with case studies.

Map & Instructions on how to travel to Denholm House, Livingston.

All delegates will receive our “Fire Engineering Guidance Document for Watermist Systems” at the seminar
